Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Community Liaison / Business Development
Representative to join our team. This role involves building and nurturing relationships within
the community, driving business growth, and creating strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate
will be passionate about community engagement, possess strong sales acumen, and have a track
record of developing successful business initiatives.


Key Responsibilities: 
  • Community Engagement and Outreach:
    • Act as the primary representative of the company within the local community building and maintaining relationships with key community stakeholders.
    • Organize and attend community events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company's brand and services.
    • Develop and execute community outreach programs to increase brand awareness and customer engagement
 
  • Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the community to expand the company's market presence.
    • Research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
    • Develop and implement business development strategies and plans to achieve company sales and growth targets.
 
  • Relationship Building:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and influencers to create strategic partnerships and drive business growth.
    • Negotiate and manage partnerships, ensuring mutual benefits and long-term success.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for community and business development initiatives.
 
  • Sales and Marketing Support:
    • Generate leads, qualify prospects, and drive new business opportunities.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute promotional campaigns that align with community events and business goals.
    • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
    • Identify new business opportunities by leveraging existing network and creating new connections.
    • Provide feedback on marketing strategies based on community interactions and market research.
 
  • Customer Engagement and Service:
    • Act as a point of contact for customers and community members, providing information about products and services, and addressing inquiries and concerns.
    • Develop and maintain customer relationships to drive repeat business and customer loyalty.
    • Conduct public speaking engagements to promote the organization's mission and services
    • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
 
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare regular reports on community engagement activities, business development progress, and key performance metrics.
    • Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of community and business development initiatives and make recommendations for improvements.
    • Track and report on industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in the market that may impact the business.
 
  • Team Collaboration and Training:
    • Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure cohesive and effective community engagement and business development strategies.
    • Provide training and support to team members on community engagement best practices and business development techniques.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional development.
 
  • Compliance and Ethics:
    • Ensure all community and business development activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations.
    • Promote and uphold the company's values and commitment to community engagement and business integrity.
 
  • Other Duties as Assigned:
    • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required to support the overall goals and objectives of the company.

Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in community relations, business development, sales, or a related field.
    • Proven track record of successful business development and community engagement initiatives.
    • Experience in the retail industry is preferred.
 
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a results-driven mindset.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
